What is Quartz?
Quartz, or Quartz II, to be accurate, is a Citadel-based Bulletin Board System (BBS). However, its denizens think of it more as an electronic meeting-ground and shangri-la. You can read about the history of Quartz, but to truly understand Quartz, you just have to log in.
What is Quartz like?
On a good day, there's wit and wisdom and wackiness. Sometimes we get petty and argumentative. Sometimes we get silly or sad. There's a lot of words, and a lot of banter. Today, we're talking about how the bbs is organized, the ethics of Megan's Law, and the validity of movie reviews. There's a discussion going on in Bad Stuff I Write> over who's the better poet, and everyone's posting in Non Sequitur>. Some folks are talking about whether a Goalie is more reliant on chance or skill, and others are talking about linguistic and regional differences.
